Question

Where is the ANU Print Repository located?

Answer

Did you know that the majority of the ANU Library’s print collection is stored off-site?

Most print journals, records, and lesser-used items are stored in the ANU Print Repository in Hume. This collection takes up around 45kms of shelving!

The entire collection stored at the repository is in the process of being moved to a new storage facility in Symonston. As you can imagine, this is a significant project. The relocation will enable a long-term strategy for collection storage.

As of 1 August 2024, monographs are now able to be requested for retrieval. These items are requestable through the catalogue. Book chapter scanning is not yet available.

It is anticipated that this project will continue through to August 2024. Updates about the project timeframes will be made available on the ANU Library website.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this process.
