There are a number of options for accessing ScienceDirect content in 2026:

• We have a current subscription to 121 journals
• Other content is accessible through:
  • Previously purchased backfiles and post-termination access rights (PTA)
  • Other database subscriptions
  • Open Access sources:
    • over 30% of Elsevier’s most recent content is available OA
    • Pre-print versions are often available in repositories
    • Peer to peer sharing of pre-print versions is often allowed under Elsevier licensing
  • Document Supply (some articles can be supplied within 24 hours)
  • Browser plug ins like UnPaywall, which links to open access content from over 50,000 publishers and repositories, and has its own browser extension for Chrome and Firefox.
